The FWSQ: Buckwheat Block
OK, so I was racing to get two blocks finished during patchwork class last Thursday and that is when mistakes happen. At the time I thought it looked funny but my mind was on packing away tables and cleaning up. It wasn't until today, when I took a photo of it and saw it on the digital screen, that I realised what I had done wrong. If you cut the block straight down the middle you will find that the left hand side is correct. On the right hand side, I have sewn the bottom corner triangle section at the top and vice versa. This will definitely need to be unpicked and fixed.
This block is rotary cut, machine pieced and is slightly oversized but after trimming should be 6.5" unfinished.
