The FWSQ: Big Dipper Block

This is my favourite so far. It was quick to make, although I did have to put my thinking cap on when fussy cutting the zig zag fabric so they were all vertical. This is made up of half square triangle units, for which there are dozens of different methods on how to make, but I actually cut each triangle and sewed them on the bias. On such a small block, it worked fine.

This block is rotary cut and machine pieced and is unfinished at 6.5".
